FAQs

How Long Do the Courses Take?
The courses are all rated for various times but they are all interactive so the time it takes to complete each course depends on you.  You can work through each course as quickly or as slowly as you wish. The only requirement is that you are able to pass the required exams online.

How Soon Can I Start?
You can start the courses immediately after you have signed up.  After you checkout, you will receive a username/password which is used to login to your course(s) and you can begin going through the material and taking the tests right away.

What Do I Do When I'm Done?
You will submit your application for renewal to IICRC along with a copy of your certificate that you obtained after passing the course.  Certificates can be printed or can be mailed out to you upon request.

Will My Certificate Say IICRC?
No, the certificates are issued from Professional Mold Inspection Institute, an approved continuing education provider for IICRC.  The Professional Mold Inspection Institute certificate is the certificate you submit to IICRC for your continuing education requirements.

What Is the Benefit to Purchase the 4-Course Mold Package?
When you purchase the 4-course Mold Certification Package, you are receiving the Residential Mold Inspection Course, the Commercial Mold Inspection Course, the Mold Remediation Course, and the Mold Remediation Protocols Course.  The courses are discounted even more when you purchase them altogether and you can go through one of the courses right away to satisfy your IICRC CEC requirement, then you can take the other courses later on down the road whenever you have time.

Do These Courses Meet the Initial Training Requirements for IICRC?
No, these courses have been approved for Continuing Education Credits from IICRC but not they are not currently approved for the initial IICRC training requirement.

The number of continuing education credits a student can earn from any of the approved courses depends on their certification type and the course. Specific information by course is listed below. Residential Mold Inspection Certification Course: 2 cecs in the cleaning/restoration category, or 2 cecs in the inspection category, or 2 cecs in the master category, Commercial Mold Inspection Certification Course: 2 cecs in the cleaning/restoration category, or 2 cecs in the inspection category, or 2 cecs in the master category, Mold Remediation Certification Course: 2 cecs in the cleaning/restoration category, or 2 cecs in the inspection category, or 2 cecs in the master category, Each of these courses is included in the Mold Certification Course Package that contains all four of the mold courses. When students complete the course, the certificates can be sent directly to IICRC for credit.
